Summary

Centre Toussaint is currently looking for an early child educator. We are looking for someone who has an unconditional love and patience for children. The incumbent will be responsible for children from 6 to 12 years old.

Tasks

  • Being responsible for a group of children, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Establish a personalized bond with each child
  • Promote discipline based on positive reinforcement and child development
  • Organize educational activities
  • Cooperate with trainers for the education and development of children
  • Other related tasks

Requirements

  • Be available on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Summary

Centre Toussaint is currently looking for two organizers of Afro-cultural activities. The incumbents will have to organize and coordinate together various activities related to Haitian and Afro culture such as workshops, cultural events and others.

Tasks

  • Organize, coordinate and lead various artistic, educational, social and cultural activities (minimum 1 activity per month)
  • Manage the administrative aspects of event management such as budgeting, permissions if required, transportation and material requirements and other administrative tasks
  • Solicit and collaborate with partners and collaborators in connection with the events
  • Follow up by phone and email
  • Conduct workshops via video conferencing and/or in person
  • Collaborate on the marketing aspect of events and workshops
  • Other related tasks

Summary

Centre Toussaint is currently looking for an administrative clerk to join its team. We want a candidate with an interest in the field of administration, marketing or communication.

This job offer is linked to the Assistance Program for the Integration of Immigrants and Visible Minorities in Employment (PRIIME). Priority to candidates who have already the letter of eligibility to the program. You should request it from your CLE.

Tasks

  • Make appointments with customers and partners
  • Manage messages and emails
  • Input data
  • Drafting texts, letters and other documents
  • Promote the company on social networks
  • Answer the phone occasionally

Requirements

  • The candidate must meet these criteria related to the PRIIME program:
    • Must have obtained a permanent residence less than 5 years ago
    • OR is a member of a visible minority (regardless of whether the place of birth is Canada or another country) and has no previous experience in the field in Canada or the United States
  • Excellent written and oral French (English and Haitian Creole are an asset)
  • In-depth knowledge of the MS Office suite and the Google suite
  • Possession of a working computer with Internet

Schedule: 30 hours per week (flexible) / Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm preferably

Centre Toussaint is looking to expand its team of trainers. We are currently looking for a trainer of Creole and Haitian culture for children (6 to 12 years old). The incumbent will be in charge of the pedagogical teaching of Haitian Creole and different aspects of Haitian culture in a fun and stimulating way for children.

Tasks

  • Establish and follow a lesson plan for the training of Haitian Creole and Haitian culture
  • Offer education adapted to young children
  • Accompany and encourage children on their learning journey
  • Set up learning activities
  • Other related tasks

  • Excellent command of Haitian Creole both orally and in writing

Summary

We are currently looking for a trainer of Haitian history and Haitian culture for children (6 to 12 years old), adolescents (13 years old +) and adults. The incumbent will be in charge of teaching the history of Haiti and different aspects of Haitian culture in a fun and stimulating way. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about Haitian culture and Afro culture.

Tasks

  • Establish and follow a lesson plan for training in Haitian history and Haitian culture
  • Offer education adapted to the target clientele
  • Accompany and encourage participants in their learning journey
  • Set up learning activities
  • Other related tasks

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Haitian culture
  • Master's degree in the history of Haiti
  • Ability to popularize, teach and capture interest
