Our Haitian Creole course is tailored specifically to the needs of second-generation Haitians. We focus on common expressions and phrases from everyday life to enhance communication in Haitian Creole. The lessons are interactive and catered to learners' levels and interests. We employ various teaching methods like role-playing, group discussions, listening and reading exercises, as well as oral and written production activities. Additional resources such as audio recordings, videos, and printable materials are available to aid practice. This course is designed for second-generation Haitians with a basic understanding of Haitian Creole, aiming to enhance their communication skills. Join our learning community to discover the beauty and richness of the Haitian Creole language!
A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the course.

What to have:

Start-End Date: Every Tuesday from September 27, 2023
Start-End Time: 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM
Duration: 1 hour of video to watch at home and 1.5 hours of on-site group practice

There are 600 minutes of video divided into 25 lessons.

We group people by similar age ranges to ensure tailored learning quality (age groups are approximate):
  • Zwa (0 to 6 years)
  • Ti Zanfan (7 to 9 years)
  • Gran Zanfan (10 to 12 years)
  • Zado (13 to 19 years)
  • Granmoun (20 years+)
  • Gran Granmoun (50 years+)
